Fish-Trak Announces Exciting Partnership with the American Littoral Society to Revolutionize Fish Tagging
Island Heights, NJ — Fish-Trak, the innovative platform designed to enhance fish tagging programs and empower anglers, is proud to announce a new partnership with the American Littoral Society, home to the nation’s largest volunteer saltwater fish tagging initiative. The two organizations will bring a fully digital fish tagging experience to the angling community.
The American Littoral Society has long been a leader in marine conservation, with nearly 1 million fish tagged through its program since 1965. This partnership marks a significant leap forward in combining decades of conservation expertise with cutting-edge technology. Through this collaboration, the Littoral Society will introduce the free Fish-Trak app to its fish taggers—the app offers a seamless digital platform for logging and reporting tagged fish alongside traditional reporting methods. It will simplify data collection for anglers and enhance the quality of information available to researchers and conservationists.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the American Littoral Society to modernize fish tagging,” said Rich Ryan, Fish-Trak Founder. “Our goal is to make it easier than ever for anglers to participate in conservation efforts while leveraging technology to support marine research and sustainability.”
The partnership is finalizing the details, with plans to launch the fully digital experience for iOS users by spring 2025. This initiative reflects Fish-Trak’s commitment to connecting anglers, researchers, and conservation programs through innovative tools that benefit marine ecosystems.
